Some Interesting Scorpio Personality Traits in My Experience | You Will Not be Surprised!

I started developing an interest in people’s sun and moon signs somewhere around 2011. Before Facebook, people of my generation had their profiles in Orkut. It felt so cool back then as the idea of social networking site was so new. I was just checking people’s profiles and there was a person in my friend list who I noticed had a group named “Sagittarius”. I thought to take a look at sun signs and discovered that I was a Sagittarian myself. Then I began to look at other people’s birthdays that they had mentioned in their profiles and checked their sun signs as well. It soon became an obsession, and even to this day, it fascinates me how people behave based on their sun sign or moon sign.

Speaking of sun and moon sign could be a bit confusing. There is also another aspect known as ascendant but it’s better to not go that deeper. In brief, sun signs signify your personality, moon signs indicate how you manage your emotions, and rising (aka ascendant) shows how you present your personality in front of the world.

Checking for someone’s characteristics traits is usually performed when they are romantically associated with someone or are simply fond of somebody with an objective in mind.

As far as I am concerned, I am a curious being. I love to go the depth of quite much everything. And by that means, I would go to the extent of checking a person’s rashi to their general psychology to the biases they likely hold only to discover why they do or say a certain thing instead of something else, and how they might behave based on those findings. I then conclude some insights which help me understand people better.

It’s quite natural to run into various people on a daily basis at least before the Covid-19 pandemic. A lot of times, we need to interact with them as we might work on common projects professionally. At workplace settings, some people may also have flings on somebody. So, it’s interesting if we find out their general personality.

I personally have come across Scorpios, Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius, Cancers, Virgos, Tauruses, and Leos the most. The least I had met were the Pisces. Even Geminis, Libras, and Capricorns I haven’t had much interaction, but compared to Pisces, they stand better. Now let’s discuss the personality traits of Scorpios, one of my favourite signs, although I have never dated anybody with this sign. And while reading, just keep in mind that I am not an astrologer or expert in horoscopes. I simply love knowing!

Scorpio Personality Traits

Born between 23rd October and 21st November, Scorpios come under the water sign. Therefore, they are deep, highly emotional, sensitive, and passionate folks in whatever they do. They are also highly ambitious with a motive to win. They wouldn’t let you know their true self unless you become their close friend. I was quite amazed to see the “emotional” part as they usually have a cool and calm exterior. This means even if they are angry, you cannot see it.

3 Types of Scorpio

There are three types of Scorpios – The Scorpion, The Eagle, and The Phoenix

1. The Scorpion is impulsive, aggressive, jealous, and vindictive. I recall one person from my childhood who comes under this category. Though I don’t know whether she has found mental peace or not but sure she used to be the kind of person everyone wouldn’t want to be around. She had her own reasons why she was vindictive but her sting in our teen years gave me life lessons.

2. The Eagle has the power of intellect and courage. They wouldn’t exploit others for their personal gain, instead, they would prefer psychoanalysing others so that they could assist them in some way. They rely greatly on intuition to attain that goal.

3. The Phoenix are the ones who have almost attained spiritual awakening. They just observe the world without judgement. These are the kinds who have learned to let go of things without holding grudges because they have already moved beyond disillusionment of self. My best friend came under this category. I think she was the only one I know who had reached this far. Maybe such scorpios are rare.

Generally speaking, most Scorpios I have encountered so far are highly secretive and introverts. Though some of them you might notice being very talkative and friendly, possibly due to the moon influences in their chart such as Libra or Gemini. Yet they will still keep it superficial with you. You may think that you became close friends with them but that's just them bluffing you in believing it. I remember one of my Aries colleagues was so confident in telling me that she was close friends with this Scorpio guy that she was going to invite him to a party. It was a big deal because she was the subordinate of him. The Scorpio wasn't that close to her; he would just get friendly with her just like he would with his other subordinates.

A scorpio is also highly observant of everything in general. They make mental notes of people around. If they are interested in you in some way, particularly romantically, they will be more noticing you like an eagle (ignore the ‘type’ in this context). I compared that with eagles because they are extremely capable of identifying their love interest from a very far distance even if that place is crowd headed.

They also have a tendency of being in the vicinity of their crush and their crush thinks it's a coincidence. No, it isn't! Hence, if your scorpio acquaintance just happens to meet you in places where he knows that you will show up, he will be there doing something 'busy'. You will have to have great observational skills to understand this. Nobody shows up that frequently coincidently.

As a Sagittarius, I never had this attention-to-detail kind of personality. So, I wouldn’t even notice if somebody is crushing on me unless someone else informs me. Sagittarians are too busy in their world doing things that they would either not notice or ignore. Duh!

Even when it comes to social media, scorpios keep it low profile. Most commonly I have noticed is, they won't be having accounts in all the popular ones. Meaning, they will probably have an account in either Facebook or LinkedIn or Instagram, but not all. If they somehow manage to create these accounts, they will be using either of these more often. Yet they would rarely hit the Like/reaction button or comment on your posts unless they consider you as their close friend.

If you are a girl who thinks that a scorpio guy might have a crush on you, it will be terrifically confusing for you since this guy will be extra cautious while interacting with you. So, don’t expect that you are going to get regular pings on private chat. If you do, good for you! Definitely, it also depends on individuals. The shy kinds are naturally aloof and the extroverts may find an opportunity to interact if they are certain that you will respond to them. Though you must expect that degree of straightforwardness from fire signs like Leos and Aries who will be frequent and evidently show interest. Scorpios are subtle.

It is not unlikely that you wouldn't know whether they have actually viewed any of your posts. You might even think whether they come online or not. Their profile doesn't contain much information. More so, they hesitate to share their ideology or opinions on public platforms. Even if you consider Scorpio celebrities, you won’t notice any negative remarks against their rivalries. They seldom do that. A few of my scorpio acquaintances didn't have a profile picture. You can imagine the extent of secrecy.

What is scorpios’ favourite colour?

Almost always it’s the red colour that most Scorpios adore. They also like the combination of red with black. They may also like blue shade but the colour Red wins their heart. Look around which coloured attire they wear on special occasions or what’s the colour of their car. My best friend, my cousin, some of my other acquaintances, all of them love red.

Do scorpios hold grudges?

They hold grudges for decades, no kidding on this! I read this on the internet about some years ago but didn't experience it that time. Then I happened to encounter a scorpio, who I was acquainted with already, after about eight or nine years. He confronted me through texts suddenly when we were chatting about regular stuff -"You told me <this> that time, what did you mean by that? Why did you say that to me?".

I was so freaked out by his blunt attitude that my mind stopped working. I didn't expect that his normal conversation would lead me there just to ask that particular question. He could have asked me that then and there, not after a decade. I answered diplomatically, and then stopped responding to him post that event. I had to eventually block him after that from all online sources because he was just sounding manipulative.

As an adult who never had any close terms with this person, I did not owe any explanation or an apology. It might have created havoc in his psyche due to his crazy I-wanna-know-it-all nature but he pushed me to act in that manner. As a Sagittarius Sun and Aries moon myself, both of which are fire signs, it's pretty suffocating to be honest. Now he is surely holding more grudges. But I also deserve peace. I wish him mental peace though.

I remember a lot of stuff, but moving on is pretty easy in my case. I am even capable of cutting ties completely with people no matter how close I might be. So, it wasn’t easy dealing with such a person who made snipe judgements simply because somebody had said to him a decade or so ago. Do I hate him as a person? No. I actually helped him earn some extra bucks when he wasn’t established enough in his career, indirectly though but he was aware. The idea is unsettling how he got attached to the negative experience instead, things that he “perceived” negatively.

I also sound intimidating and offensive quite a lot of times to most people. I don't intend to sound rude and then unexpectedly do or say something that looks cruel. All thanks to my husband who keeps poking me and I have made progress in years, but that is my base nature so it does not completely go away.

Do scorpios check your diary or personal belongings?

Most astrologers agree to this part that there is a good chance they might check you like a detective if you are close enough or worth probing. For instance, if they are your parent or sibling or the one you are dating, they can be curious enough to take a look. If you are just an acquaintance or friends with them then the chances are close to none.

Why scorpios ask for validation?

Asking for validation is one of the most common traits among humans and not just scorpios. Though some signs must be requiring that more compared to others, so scorpios aren’t exceptions. Most probably it would be their love interest with whom they would be wanting those compliments. Also, if they respect you a lot in some way or are impressed by you due to your personality it can be possible that they may still want you to validate them.

They regularly ask stuff either directly to you or to someone else to know your opinion whether you approve them of their looks, or do you like their car or house, or even fiancé!

But beware of faking it else they will come to know from a mile’s distance. Your compliments should be genuine and they will adore you for your honesty.

Why doesn’t this scorpio text me anymore?

If you spot your scorpio who used to chat with you before but has suddenly stopped then it can mean anything. He may be in his “shell”. If that is true then he will come back again. There also might be other reasons like getting offended by something you said or did. As mentioned before, they are sensitive beings so it is likely that there can be instances of issues if you two regularly converse. If they are angry and not communicating then that’s a problem.

On rare occasions, it may be the case that you two had a spark and you talked then he lost interest all of a sudden. Either they are dealing with something dire and got really busy, or something had put them off while knowing more about you. Either way, you can still communicate and ask them instead of making assumptions. They should reply to you with honesty. Else move on with your life since there is nothing you could do.

Scorpio compatibility

When it comes to romantic compatibility with any sign there is one fundamental that follows. All Water signs (Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces) get along well with all earth signs (Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn) because their emotions are well suited. You do the math!

Generally, Scorpio does not match with Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and Air (Aquarius, Libra, Gemini) signs. This is because the latter signs are carefree and highly independent. A possessive and insecure Scorpio can suffocate them.

If you don’t believe in sun signs and similar stuff, this is not the right platform for you to debate. My rational mind says to not believe but I get biased. There are actual instances of me predicting people's sun signs and I have predicted rightly so there is a reason why I believe in this. Although there are instances where some people weren't exactly showing typical traits maybe due to other influences in their chart I wasn't aware of.
